Questions
Can I use it with no keyboard at all?
Yes. Voice activation starts and stops on your speech, so a full dictation needs no keypress. Arming and disarming is a menu bar click.
Does it listen all the time?
Only while armed, and arming lasts for that session only and never survives a restart. Audio is processed on your Mac and never uploaded, and locking your screen cancels any dictation in flight.
What if it mishears me?
Escape cancels a dictation before it inserts. Review mode can park the text for you to check first, and words you correct twice are offered to your dictionary so the same mistake stops happening.
