Utter is genuinely usable free with local models, and its paid tier adds cloud models. That is a fair deal, but note the direction: paying moves your audio off your machine rather than keeping it on. Flit has one mode, everything on your Mac, and charges once for it. Whether that is better depends on whether you want the frontier cloud models Utter can reach and Flit deliberately cannot.
Breadth against depth, again

Can Flit transcribe a meeting or a YouTube link?
No. Flit only turns your live speech into text at your cursor. Utter handles files, links, and meetings; Flit does not attempt any of it.
Does Flit have an iPhone app?
No, and none is planned. Flit is macOS only, which is part of why it can run the model on the Neural Engine and show text as you speak.
